This space of Gambrell Portfolio is for my drawings, sketches, paintings (maybe) and other more artful projects that illustrate ideas, subjects, theories, principles, etc. of design as well as those of other disparate disciplines, of culture and even those of my own.

Scratch

Most of my high school work, like the one shown, derived from music and the CD covers. If I thought an image would look great in charcoal or in some way challenge me, then I would take on that task and reproduce the image. This piece covered both views.
